Description

On this week's Episode of "Delving with Des", I am chatting with Tony Wright, a local inspiration from many perspectives. After suffering a major cycling accident seven years ago here in the Hastings Region, Tony has re-built his life with support from family and friends with an amazing positive attitude to life.

Below is a note from the President of the Port Macquarie Triathlon Club, Jimbo Sanderson, about Tony.

"Dear Des,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today to bring to your attention an individual named Tony Wright, whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for quite some time. Tony is a personal friend of my family and was a mentor to my son during his years at the surf club.

I recently saw that you are scheduled to have a conversation with Tony on your show, and I wanted to take this opportunity to express my admiration for him and the positive impact he has had on our community. Tony is an exceptional individual who has inspired myself and countless others with his unwavering positivity and resilience in the face of adversity.

In addition to his personal qualities, I am the president of the Port Macquarie Triathlon Club where Tony is a active member, where he serves as an inspiration to many. He demonstrates that anything is possible, regardless of one's circumstances, and his presence has had a profound impact on the club and its members.

I would be grateful if you could take a moment during your conversation with Tony to acknowledge his contributions and the positive influence he has had on our triathlon community. His story is truly remarkable and serves as a reminder of the human spirit's ability to overcome challenges and inspire others.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing your conversation with Tony.

Best regards,

Jimbo"
