Portrait photographer David Suh takes us behind the scenes of the VIP experience he invites his clients to enjoy. David designs every moment of the weeks-long experience - from the consultation, to the hair and makeup, to the photoshoot - in a way that encourages clients to reflect on who they want to see in their portrait and enables them to visualize, believe in, and work towards that version of themselves long after the session ends.
Making the every day person feel confident while trying a bold look for the first time is an art. David shares how being a third culture kid, photographing loved ones, and being his goofy, genuine self on TikTok all play a role in empowering his clients in any situation - in his studio, during a remote portrait session, or through a chance encounter.
