Description

COVID-19 shelter-in-place mandates have completely changed many people's work and home lives, and in this episode, two dedicated and creative elementary school teachers share what it's like to teach from home.

Vivian Quan teaches kindergarteners at a large public school in LA, and Irene J Kim teaches 5th graders at a private Catholic school in the Bay Area. They redesigned their curriculum overnight based on their students' developmental, academic, and emotional needs. However, they're not just teaching academic content - they're also coaching students to reframe this challenging time and reassuring parents that their children will learn everything they need to learn.

Vivian and Irene also share what they miss most about teaching students in person, self care tips we can all benefit from, and new insights about the potential and limitations of using leveraging technology to teach remotely.
