The reveal of who Christ is has been for most of us a process. Sometimes we’ve recognized it and sometimes we didn’t because our revelation has occurred in stages. For some, it may have been one big Aha moment, or a Damascus Road experience because it was the only way God could get your attention. For others, it has been this slow removal of a veil from over your eyes and from over your faces. Little by little the image in the mirror has become clearer and as you've been able to see him you've been able to change your image. You've been able to change your image.
We are being called now to reveal the image of Christ to the world, understanding that who you are and where you are in your reflection of Christ may not be perfect but there is a characteristic of Christ where you are the spitting image of your father because he has revealed himself to you in that way. He has tested and tried you and you have a testimony about Him, yet because you don’t look like him in all areas, you hide your light. 1 John 3:2 “for we shall see Him as He is” I want us to consider that when it was necessary for Jesus to minister to one of his disciples he was not ashamed to show him his wounds in order to win his soul.
