In this episode Kathy Dalton shares her story on how she knows that God is good even in the most difficult times of life. Kathy and Daryl Dalton embodied the servanthood of Christ in many ways at First Baptist Spartanburg for years. They loved the Lord, loved their children, and loved their church. If you knew Kathy and Daryl, you knew that they carried an inexpressible joy about life that could only be counted as a mark of a Christ follower.
On April 20, 2016, days after suffering a major heart attack on the way to the hospital, Daryl went to be with Jesus. Kathy found herself, as a recent empty nester, alone without the one person who had been constant in her life for decades. Her spiritual walk became a spiritual battle as she wrestled with the devastation of losing her husband Daryl so suddenly and in that moment felt distant from the Lord. As Kathy will describe, God used many people in her life, many songs in her life, His comforting touch, and His Scriptures to assure her that no matter what; God is still good.
Kathy now lives in Georgia near her daughter, son-in-law, and one of her grand babies; along with her two dogs who you may hear once or twice during this episode! Our prayer is that you will be encouraged to seek Jesus in every moment of your life through Kathy’s story.
Psalm 27:13-14,” I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
