About the Guest:

Guest Name: Bardish Chagger

Bio: Bardish Chagger was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Riding of Waterloo on October 19, 2015. 

In November 2015, she was appointed Minister of Small Business and Tourism, becoming the first Indo-Canadian woman to serve in Cabinet. In the following years, Bardish served as the first woman to be named Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, and later as the Minister of Diversity and Inclusion and Youth, and the Chair of the Committee on Procedure and House Affairs. Today, her focus remains firmly on her community. 

Prior to being elected, she worked in roles across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Bardish’s passion for civic engagement is driven by her belief that we get out of our community what we put into it.
