Description

Now that the election is over, let's get back to talking about problems that need solving in our country. Or in this case, about solutions in search of a problem. Like how Illinois recently eliminated cash bail after getting rid of private bail decades ago. The criminal justice system needs some tweaking, no doubt, but it seems like Democrats continue to find ways to let criminals off the hook and increase crime. In some blue states, judges aren't allowed to detain people pre-trial based on their criminal history - only the current charge. Is this a good policy? Does it help crime rates go down? Spoiler alert - it doesn't.

My guest is Ken W. Good. He's an attorney in Texas and hosts The Bail Post podcast.
