Crystal was on the verge of graduating college when she found out her sister committed suicide. Crystal tried to focus on her studies to get through her grief, but once she graduated, it finally sunk in that her sister was gone and she felt compelled to do something more. Crystal started her two companies, Scattering Hope and Owl & Thistle, with a mission to help families recover from similar tragedies. Scattering Hope provides help to families who have lost a loved one to suicide and Owl & Thistle provides support and help for those who are struggling and contemplating suicide.
