After marrying her soulmate, Shannon and her husband continued to be addicts. Their time together revolved around getting more heroin and more money - for the heroin. When she was arrested for stealing and assaulted in prison, she decided it was time to turn her life around. She started a 12-step program and was on the path to becoming clean, but realized she couldn’t live with someone who was also a drug addict, as the temptation of her nasty habits would come back. So, she gave her husband an ultimatum: get clean or get out.
