1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, this is Vicki Bush’s story. Vicki knew that she had to get her sizable lump on her breast checked out, but postponing the inevitable results and having no insurance, it took her a few months before she told her daughter about her lump. The next day, she had an appointment at a free clinic. She kept a journal of her process through the different treatments she went through to get rid of the cancer. Through it all, she has kept a positive - and at times humorous - attitude, even when certain procedures were painful and difficult to handle. She is now cancer free and lives a much healthier lifestyle than the one she had before cancer.
