In November last year I had my very first fight in boxing.
For my walk-out, I danced and sung along to Tainted as rūku walked alongside me and performed the song.
It was a hell of an experience, but I knew that it wasn’t enough - I had to perform at an event like this.
I worked my magic and found an opening.
Last Friday night at Melbourne Pavilion, rūku and I performed 2 songs to hype up the crowd at Tribute’s Fight Night event (the same one I fought at 8 months earlier).
It was daunting and exhilarating and so much fun!
I was proud of our performance, of the opportunity to perform at such a cool venue as well as the way we handled ourselves as professionals and entertainers.
The crowd were a little hard to get going, but that was to be expected.
Shoutout JB, Tribute and everyone who was there fighting and supporting, it was a cracking event and one I plan to be a part of again.
