While Biden visited Israel on a solidarity visit, China was hosting the 3rd BRI forum in Beijing. This depicts a total contrast in the vision, especially for the states of Global South. China’s promise of hundreds of billions of dollars for infrastructure was seen in contrast to the US supported destruction of infrastructure in Gaza. This narrative battle is giving brownie points to Beijing, especially among the states of Global South.
