Welcome back to the Recovery Daily Podcast, sports fans! Today's episode is a special one—it's about embracing the thrill of NFL playoffs, even with a visual impairment and chronic migraines post-stroke. Plus, I've got a lineup of delicious vegan snacks that are sure to score big on game day.
Not being able to watch the screen doesn't sideline me from the playoff excitement. I've been mastering the art of listening—something I probably could have practiced much earlier in life. Right, mom? 🤪
My boyfriend and I tune into the game's broadcast, I close my eyes, and I let what I hear paint the picture in my mind. The way Tony Romo calls the game, with his infectious enthusiasm, adds a level of excitement that only he can add. And when the game's on the line, my boyfriend jumps in with his own play-by-play, bringing the action to life right in our living room.
This episode is a reminder to practice gratitude. What you have is enough, and there are always ways to adapt and enjoy the things we love, no matter the challenges we face. Let's transform our limitations into new opportunities to celebrate the things we love.
