Description

Fatigue encompasses a range of symptoms from low energy to brain fog, affecting alertness and endurance. People with vestibular disorders may experience fatigue due to the extra work their brains have to do. Today's episode is a review of an article straight from the VEDA website entitled "8 Steps to Manage Fatigue."

I've been suffering from extreme fatigue and brain fog over the past two days as a result of starting vestibular therapy. Although it doesn't feel like I'm doing a lot during therapy and my home exercises, it is a lot for my injured brain. I tend to not give myself credit for the difficulty of just living day to day with my disability. I even feel shame and guilt when I'm fatigued and don't feel well.

This article gives some helpful advice that I followed today: practice self-compassion, manage triggers including emotional ones, find a quiet corner, take deep breaths, and communicate with others advocating for your own well-being. Listen in on this episode for more information about how to manage fatigue on tough days.
