Description

In this episode, I talk about the emotions that are stirred up by the song "How To Save A Life" by The Fray. I have raw reflections on friends lost, and the lingering question: could we have done more?

I recount personal stories of friends lost to the darkness of their struggles and confronting the realities of old what-ifs. In allowing the sharp side of this pain come to the surface, I hope to reach others who may have lost of a friend to suicide or alcoholism so you know that you are not alone.

I continue to confront the link between loss, addiction, recovery, and my role of taking action. I am acknowledging the power I hold to maintain connections, the importance of picking up the phone, not just texting, and the responsibility we have in nurturing the relationships we cherish.

This episode supports the importance of using one's voice as a tool for healing, not just for oneself, but for others who may be struggling in silence. Join me as I embrace the lessons learned from my pain, the need for self-compassion, and my enduring quest to save my life from invisible illnesses that live within me.
