Description

Self-criticism comes natural for me. There is a fine line between being humble and crossing over in to being unaccepting of compliments or not acknowledging in ourselves the strengths and talents others see in us. This is an example of a habit that, when we cross that line over and over again, we are inviting self-criticism into our lives. Practice anything long enough and it will become a habit.

In this episode, I talk about habits that we may not even be aware of, or that we ware aware of and find it difficult to change:

  1. Downplaying your strengths and talents
  2. Using shame and guilt to motivate yourself
  3. Having higher standards for yourself vs others
  4. Trying to control things outside of your control
