Description

In today’s episode of the Recovery Daily Podcast, I explore humility as described in the book "As Bill Sees It." Humility can be misunderstood as weakness or self-degradation, but I discuss how true humility can actually strengthen us in recovery and in life. Humility enables us to right size ourselves in the world and in our relationships so that we can start listening to others a more than we listen to that little inner voice that says, "just do what you want."

I share how the practice of humility has transformed my life over the past year in stroke recovery and allowed me to heal. I talk about what it means to be open to growth, to admit when we need help, and to forgive ourselves and others. I reflect on the importance of letting go of ego, confiding in others, and learning to forgive as part of a healthy, spiritual life.
