Yesterday I talked about the changes and constants in my life before and through alcoholism and surviving a stroke. Today I’ll talk about why I should consider myself a miracle. A miracle, as I am defining it, is an extraordinary and highly improbable event, development, or accomplishment that defies the odds. And yes, while many attribute miracles to divine intervention, I believe there's room for a broader interpretation. Whether it's a higher power, the universe's mysterious ways, or the sheer inexplicable resilience of the human spirit, miracles are all around us. They're in our stories, our struggles, and most importantly, our victories, big and small.
So, why do I consider myself a miracle? And more importantly, why should you see yourself as one too? We are all going down these paths that we couldn’t have predicted and feel like we didn’t deserve. I feel like I’m going to wake up from this nightmare, but I never do. I wake up to another headache, day after day. Yet, here we are, holding onto hope. If my story, if your story, can light even a single candle in someone else's darkness, isn't that a miracle?
Listen to this inspiring episode and recognize the miracles within you and all around you. Your story matters to others—your story proves miracles exist.
