Description

In this episode, Rachel talks about how just being willing can turn something you didn't think you would ever like into your absolute favorite thing. It's true! Kabobs are now a dinner favorite of hers. And the gifts of open-mindedness doesn't stop at Persian food! :)

Rachel calls it "only hearing what you don't want to hear." This is what she did when she first walked in to sobriety meetings and was searching for any reason for the program not to work, for her to not like it, and to say I can't do it.

Once she became more fearful about what she could lose than what she had to face, she became willing to listen. With the willingness to get ugly, she began to hear what she needed to hear.
