Building a stable foundation in recovery is important in that it removes as much uncertainty as possible. You can do this by building a routine, extending your network, managing medication, receiving therapy, and setting boundaries.

Boundaries teach the people around us how to have a relationship with us while we are in recovery. It helps them understand and protect your recovery. Its up to us to create our a comfortable recovery environment by communicating our wants and our needs. Boundaries are a way of practicing self-love and asserting yourself with compassion for yourself.
