Description

Today's episode is inspired by my morning sobriety meeting and The Sound of Silence by #Disturbed which I listened to a zillion times because its AMAZING. I share my experience of learning to hear silence and quieting the roar of thoughts in my head and how it has brought clarity and peace to my life.

Have you ever wondered why some of your best ideas come to you in the shower? We explore this common experience and the role of silence in our brains, which helps generate creative ideas when we are free from distractions.

For many years, my mind was filled with constant noise—worries, anger, anxiety, and self-criticism. It was exhausting, and I reached for alcohol to find peace. Through my recovery, I’ve learned to get comfortable in silence, finding comfort and potential in it. Now, I have a guiding voice within me that shuts the noise up.

Join me as I discuss tips to incorporate more silence into your life, including setting aside time for silence, creating a silent environment, and adding silence in daily activities. By making silence a regular part of your life, you'll be amazed at how much more time you have for creativity and serenity.
