Description

Join me in this episode of Recovery Daily Podcast as I wander down Sobriety Lane, reflecting on the 7 transformative years since I made the decision to go to detox at Inova CATS for the second time and do whatever it took to get sober.

I share with you the early challenges of turning off my 'wanter', and the evolution into 'Rachel 2.0'. As I unpack the lessons of each year, from the initial struggles of trying out sobriety meetings until I found my home at Club12, to 'acting as if' and the growth I found by getting uncomfortable, to the later years of feeling like I had something to give to others and finding serenity.

My fifth year was marked by an adventurous lifestyle, including hiking, yoga, running, kayaking, and an unexpected life-altering stroke. This massive shift in my life's trajectory led to deep introspection, renewed dedication to my sobriety, and unfolding of even more promises.

And as I close this episode, I discuss the emergence of 'Rachel 3.0' and the hobbies I've embraced, sewing and baking. You may find echoes of your own story in mine, recognizing the promises of recovery unfolding for you.
