The Greatest Fortune
There once was a distinguished painter, whose works were highly sought after by millionaire art collectors.
One day, somebody broke into his studio and stole his latest masterpiece. The painter shrugged off the incident. His friends, on the other hand, were horrified.
When they arrived to express their regrets the following day, they found the painter relaxing in his garden, reading a motivating story of one of the famous painters.
How can you be so cool and motivated?” they asked incredulously.
That painting of yours which was stolen, has probably set you back by a million dollars at the very least you have lost a fortune said his friend, the banker, shaking his head sadly.
You are mistaken, said the painter very matter-of-factually. One of my pictures was stolen. But that was not my fortune. My real fortune is right here!
And he pointed to his head. This is my true fortune. It helped me produce all my paintings. And there are many more pictures in there waiting to be produced!
Moral of the story
You can either go into depression for some unfortunate event or come out strong with more success.
