Emily is a business owner and owns two businesses. She co-owns a wedding and event venue in Miami with her husband and recently has launched her own financial practice. She has been in the wealth management for almost 12 years. Emily shares how her journey has held a lot unexpected turns as she had expected to join the peace corps after college but that all changed one summer late in her college career with an internship with Merrill Lynch. She shares how she did not like her first job and how she craved to be more client facing which led her to her next job where she stayed for 10 years.
