Lord, Teach Us to Pray - Part 6Today, we’re going to explore the power of confession. Jesus’ disciples had seen His supernatural lifestyle and concluded that it was because He prayed consistently. So, they asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1 NKJV). In response, Jesus gave them what we now call the Lord’s Prayer, but really, He was giving them the principles for effective prayer, as seen in Luke 11:2-4. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Luke 11:4 NKJV Confession should be a key part of prayer, as shown in the phrase “Forgive us our sins.”
