What is "East Asia"? What is Northeast Asia, Asia, the Orient, the Far East, World literatures of Chinese, Sinophone, and the Sinitic Sphere respectively? Which forces have used these concepts? If East Asia is a vague and diverse geographical designation, where is it? How did it come into being? How does it interact with today's reality as a concept that has been seized by various ideologies?
