💔 The Fall: When Shame Entered the Story
Genesis 3:7 – “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”
After disobeying God, Adam judged himself as “not good.”
This was the birth of self-perception rooted in shame—not truth.
They covered themselves, trying to hide what they now believed was unworthy.
🏃♂️ Hiding from the Presence of God
Genesis 3:8 – “They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden… and hid themselves…”
Genesis 3:10 – “I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
Fear, shame, and broken perception now shaped Adam’s view of God.
He no longer saw God as a safe Father but as someone to hide from.
👁️🗨️ The Power of Perception
The word “knowledge” involves perception, discernment, wisdom, and skill.
Spiritual death doesn’t mean the end of existence—it means the inability to see God, self, and others rightly.
Our broken perceptions distort everything.
💡 The Gospel Restores Sight

Colossians 3:10 – “Put on the new man… renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him…”
