1. It repented

 2. Repentance is returning to
God and obeying his commandments

 3. Affliction causes people to be converted
from their sins

 4. If God's people pray, be converted from
their sins and wicked ways, and do penance, then
God will forgive their sins, show them the way in which they should walk, and
heal their land.

 5. A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite
[feeling sorry for sins or offences; repentant] and humbled [not
proud or haughty, insignificant] heart, O God, you will not despise
(detest; look down on with contempt; regard as worthless). (Psalm 50:19)

 6. For the sake of repentance God overlooks
sin

 7. God judges by degrees [little by little] to
give sinners a chance to repent

 8. If we show repentance when God reprimands us, we will escape willful sin

Lord and in leading his nation of Juda to repentance he

you to walk in my laws.

 17. Forgive others or God will not
forgive you

 18. The son who regretted
not doing his father's will when first asked, but later did it, was the son who
actually did the father's will, not the one who said he was going to do it, but
didn't.

 19. Judas, repenting, went back to the
chief priests and elders, declared that he had sinned in betraying innocent blood,
flung the 30 pieces of silver into the temple and then went out and hanged
himself.

 20. Jesus spoke in parables so
people who did not have a love of the truth would not understand and
be converted and thus have their sins forgiven.

 21. Sinners need to repent, not the
just.

 22. He who loves his life; he who hates his life
in this world keeps it unto life everlasting

 23. Repent and be baptized for forgiveness
of your sins

converted is turning from wickedness so that one's sins are blotted out.

 35. God gives repentance to know the
truth and unto life

 36. Every son whom the Lord receives and loves
he rebukes, scourges and chastises so they may share his holiness

 37. You have fallen, repent and do the
former works

 38. Jezebel did not repent of her teaching
God's servants to commit fornication and to eat of
things sacrificed to idols. Unless his servants repent they
will be punished with great tribulation.

 39. Remember therefore what you have received
and heard, and observe it and repent. Therefore, if you will not watch,
I will come upon you as a thief, and you shall not know at what hour I shall come
upon you.

 40. As for me, those whom I love I rebuke
and chastise. Be earnest therefore and repent.
