Description

Kam Redlawsk is an award-winning disabled Industrial Designer, artist, writer, and advocate who intimately shares her story that spans from South Korea, as a Korean American adoptee, Michigan and California. Living with a rare and progressive form of Muscular Dystrophy (GNE Myopathy) that has shaped her life’s journey, Kam uses a creative platform to foster a greater understanding not just for rare diseases and disability, but also the human condition as she invites you into her world through her art, writing and wheelchair travels around the world.

Kam’s progressive condition will one day leave her completely immobile, but she doesn’t let this stop her from living her life to the fullest and achieving visibility for disability through her talents and perspective. Kam has traveled the world and is up for adventuring from skydiving to parasailing, and seeks to elevate the disabled human experience through various creative projects. She is also a debut author & illustrator with a picture book inspired by her rare disease and disability coming out August of 2025.
