To expect some particular results from our sankirtana, to do it with the intention of enjoying the result, gaining fame, recognition, etc. is not the proper mentality. Therefore, we usually say to new devotees to be detached. On the other hand, to desire more for Krsna, to desire to achieve some high goal as an offering to our spiritual master, is very positive. We can see practically that pure devotees sometimes show unlimited ambition in spreading Krsna consciousness. How to reconcile these two ideas?
