- Walt Disney World's legal battle with Central Florida Tourism Oversight District will go before a judge today. This case involves the new board which replaced Disney's former self-government. The board is suing Disney to nullify an agreement the company made with the former board, giving Disney power to develop its property for decades. Disney wants the lawsuit thrown out or put on hold.
- Funeral services for Derek Diaz will be held today in Orlando. An Orlando police officer shot and killed the 26-year-old because he thought Diaz was reaching for a gun during a drug investigation. The memorial begins at 10 a.m. at Compass Pointe Funeral Service on South Orange Blossom Trail. He'll be laid to rest at 3 p.m. at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay.
