- Students in Orange County will no longer be able to use their cell phones during the school day. The district voted last night to make changes to its cell phone policy ahead of the new school year. Students cannot use them during class unless it's explicitly requested by a teacher for educational purposes.
- Osceola County Schools also has a new cell phone policy for the upcoming school year. Students can only take out their phones if the teacher allows the devices for instructional reasons. If a student has a medical conditions that requires the use of an app. Or in the event of schoolwide emergencies, like lockdowns.
