Presenting yet ANOTHER cool new special RRH campaign, CRIMINALLY FORGOTTEN ACTORS! Here, we will present some of the finest, most talented actors who, for some reason, have languished into pop culture obscurity. The intent behind CRIMINALLY FORGOTTEN ACTORS is to reintroduce these actors to the mainstream moviegoing audience and highlight some of their very best performances.
Our first test subject is the late, great 1970s actor Al Lettieri. Most famously known for portraying ambitiously brutal mobster Virgil "The Turk" Sollozzo in THE GODFATHER, Lettieri would become a fixture in the 70s Crime Genre where he mostly played heavies and squared off against such vintage icons as Al Pacino, Steve McQueen, and Charles Bronson. What made Lettieri so memorable was his ability to play both slickly evil gangsters such as the Turk, and violently insecure criminals like Frank Renda in MR. MAJESTYK.
Join our host, Professor Cesare Augusto, as he delves into the short but meaningful life and career of Al Lettieri!
