Description

Tim and Crystal are back for another Charity Coffee Chat, and this time, we are back into the crazy world of school lunches, discussing the fact that apparently Christmas is right around the corner and battling the back-to-school illnesses.
When we first talked about doing the podcast we wanted to bring other charity leaders to the table to learn from their experiences. This week we welcomed our first guest!! We were really excited to talk with Heather Ferguson who is the Director, New Program Strategy with Scouts Canada. Her and her team "The TACOS" are quickly preparing to launch an exciting pilot Program called Learn to Lead and in a very short time Heather was able to bring this virtual team together and have quickly moved through the stages of Team Development and have quickly hit the preforming stage.
Heather shares her experiences leading a remote team and discusses the unique challenges leaders face in managing and leading teams in virtual or flexible environments. It explores effective communication, team collaboration, and maintaining a strong team culture in a distributed workforce.
