- The Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program is a nationally accredited program and has been around since 2002.
- The program is designed to help support new graduate RN’s transition from academia into clinical practice.
- The program consists of monthly seminars that are four hours in duration. The seminars consist of content presentations, clinical reflection time, and an evidence-based group project for the hospital.
- At the end of the program, residents will present their evidence-based group projects to Nursing Leadership and the program Academic Advisors.
- The nurse residents also complete a series of surveys throughout the program to help track their progress and identify any potential needs or concerns.
- The Nurse Residency Program has three Cohorts per year, starting in March, August, and November. Residents who start prior to a cohort start month will be included into the next closest cohort group.
