Description

On this episode, Tanner has an inspiring conversation with Tim Heard, a ministry leader from Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL. Tim offers his unique perspective on Christian missions as an entrepreneur and business owner.
Tim and Tanner discuss the false dichotomy between “foreign” and “local” missions, as well as the reality of integrating an evangelistic focus in our local churches. They talk about making space in our lives for the people Jesus would be spending time with, and Tim highlights the importance of self-awareness in carrying Christ. You’ll be inspired and encouraged to uncomplicate the call of Christ in your life.

Tim Heard is on staff at Church of the Highlands where he works with all things globally focused, legacy partnerships, and outreach finances. As a former entrepreneur and business owner, Tim thrives on organizing and leading new opportunities. His passion is to strengthen local churches around the world and partner with global organizations to serve people’s basic needs in combination with spreading the gospel.

Church of the Highlands is currently the second-largest church in America. Since 2001, it has planted over 1,000 local churches across America and around the world, and it is involved in resourcing over 17,000 churches globally through Highlands Resources and Grow Leader.
