In today's episode, I open up about one of the biggest challenges that’s affected me for over three decades: overcoming a scarcity mindset. Growing up in a low-income household, every decision seemed to revolve around money. From skipping AC in the car to saving on gas, to questioning every expense, this mindset was ingrained in me from a young age.
I share my journey of how this scarcity mindset shaped my life from childhood experiences to adult decisions influenced by fear of financial insecurity. I talk about:
The factors that played in me growing up and having a scarcity and limited mindset
How this mindset thinking which correlates with limited or fear-based thinking greatly affects your decisions, from career choices to personal expenses, and even social interactions.
The importance of reframing and understanding that investing in yourself and your well-being is invaluable, even if it doesn't show immediate financial return.
