Debra Yates is an author of Cherokee descent. Her book, Woman of Many Names, Chronicles the life of her 7th Great-Grandmother Nanyehi (Nancy Ward). Nancy Ward had ties to Daniel Boone, George Washington and other such historical figures. We discuss Nancy's life, her meetings with the amazing historical figures that she knew, predicting the Trail of Tears, leading her people through wartime, keeping the story of Nancy Ward and the traditions of the Cherokee people alive, and much more.
