On today's episode, we are joined by Dr. Angelica Thomas in a breakdown of what neurodiversity is, how to get the support you need, and how to develop positive narratives to encourage a more inclusive society.
Dr. Thomas has her MA in Counseling Psychology specializing in Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy along with recently receiving her Psy.D. in Applied Clinical Counseling. She is EMDR certified. She has experience working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and couples. Angelica uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches to support individuals. She has experience in treating trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, identity issues, sexual disorders, and issues specific to BIPOC/POC, Neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, & Kink/Poly folx. Additionally, she provides psychological testing to diagnose various mental health conditions/illnesses.
