In 1973 seven-year-old Joan D’ Alessandro headed out of her Hillsdale, New Jersey home to deliver Girl Scout cookies. Within minutes she would be enduring a horrific assault that brutally ended her short life. For the next 50 years, Joan’s Mother, Rosemarie D’ Alessandro fought tirelessly to keep her killer in prison and to keep countless other children safe.

In Part 1 of the Joan D’ Alessandro, we will cover the family background, Joan’s brutal murder and the fallout that followed.
