It's self-destructive to your personal development to have role models. To idolize successful people can lead to your own downfall and limit your growth by consuming their content while not developing your own. It also breaks relationships by debate or even arguing and fighting by disrespecting others. The Sheep Mentality you develop allows you to disrespect others when you feel your idol has been disrespected, leading to fights at sport events or online arguments with followers that will never become leaders. These followers will always never be able to develop their own status.
