This podcast deals with the subject of how freedom is so very close to the Father's heart. We live in a country which I believe has one of the most unique Constitutions in the world. Our Founding Fathers understood and proclaimed in our founding documents that our rights were given to us by God. These rights were inalienable. These rights were the right to life, liberty (freedom) and the pursuit of happiness. All the other nations of the world have constitutions that give to their people rights bestowed upon them by their governments. If rights can be bestowed by a government, they can be taken away by their government as well.
Nonetheless, the premise of this podcast is to discuss the idea that freedom is God's idea. When Jesus began his ministry as described in Luke 4. He picked up the Isaiah manuscript and spoke about setting the captives free. He stated twice the subject of liberty (freedom). It was that important to God.
Later we learn from Hebrews 2:14-15 Jesus took on a human body to defeat the power of death because our enemy has used the power of the fear of death to put as many people under bondage as he could. Becoming free from the fear of death is directly correlated to becoming free from addictions of any kind.
