Do you know anyone who is addicted to anything? Most of us know many people even in our own families who are addicted to something. If we are honest with ourselves we will admit we too are addicted to something. Addictions are bondages. Whatever a person is addicted to, the reason underlying their addiction is an attempt to medicate themselves. Why do they need medication? The answer often lies on the premise that their is a worry, anxiety or fear that is bothering them. If there was no fear; there would be no need to medicate.
Anyone who is truly honest with themselves will admit their solution to medicate themselves is only temporary and does not truly solve their problem. Yet, they are driven with a one track mind; focusing on the next drink or drug or whatever they use to medicate themselves. If they can only get that drink their problems will be solved, or so they think.
This podcast presents the idea that God has an ultimate Plan and a specific plan for each and every one of us. In both the ultimate plan and the specific plan freedom is the objective. Yeshua came to set the captives free. Anyone who is in bondage is not free. God wants his children to be free. Freedom is God's idea.
Come listen to how you can be set free from any addiction and any need to medicate yourself by trusting in God's plan for you. If you peel back the layers of thought, underneath all the motivations we have in life, the one thought that often drives our bus is fear in some way, shape or form. Trusting in God our Father brings us to the place wherein we can overcome fear. Scripture tells us "perfect love casts out all fear". Where can you find "perfect love"? In the heart of God the Father!
