This podcast recites Book Number Three of Papa Tom’s Tales: A Grandfather’s Bedtime Stories, entitled “The Birthday Gift”. The ancient Greek Philosopher Aeschylus once wrote “In war, truth is the first casualty.” We are in a world war right now, a war of words. There is a war going on in the Ukraine, though the pictures we are seeing of that “hot war” may very well be nothing like it appears. It could very well be a ruse to deceive us. Nonetheless, the War of Words and Pictures (a picture is worth a thousand words), is being continuously presented to our eyes and ears.
Scripture encourages us to know the truth and the truth will set us free. There are those who have said: “the pen is mightier than the sword”, is it possible the tongue is mightier than the pen? Naturally, all the words we speak are spoken through our tongue. This podcast sheds light on looking at the world through “Songlasses”, the birthday gift God the Father gave to Luke the Lightbearer. If we know the truth it shall set us free; and if we speak it into the atmosphere others can be set free as well.
Words create pictures in our minds. In previous podcasts we discussed the use of propaganda which is designed to cause us to fear by issuing misleading information to create a narrative that incites fear. In the hands of people who want to control us, fear is a useful tool. Governments use fear to control their populations. Love and truth overcome fear every time. Our Father wants His children to be free. Whom the Son sets free are free indeed. Come listen to how you too can overcome fear by seeing Truth through the lens of the Scripture. Come see how Luke answered Pontius Pilates question “What is truth?” while looking eyeball to eyeball with Truth itself.
