Join us in discussing this month’s book club pick Just Like Home by Sarah Gailey. Vera didn’t have any intentions of coming back home. But now her mom is dying and she has to do something to get the house ready to sell. Not that anyone is going to buy the house of a serial killer. An infamous serial killer at that who’s had tourists flocking to see the house, including, an artist who promises he can put the house’s energy into his work. As Vera begins to sort out the house, she starts to wonder if her father built a strong house or if the house was trying to protect her from the truth. CJ and Kait discuss if writers need a wink, what type of spooky really scares them, and if Gailey was trying too hard.
For our next book, we’ll be reading Hide by Kiersten White.
