A root is the part of a plant that attaches to the ground or to a support - stabilizing and nurturing the rest of the body. In Christ’s Church, there are roots as well - scriptures, wisdom, and testimonies that testify to the character of God. These roots have a material impact, because they are true, and they root us to Christ himself, stabilizing us and nurturing us because it is He who is doing the stabilizing and the nurturing.
