Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Latoya is formally trained as a singer-songwriter and guitarist who made her way to Dallas, Texas. The music scene in her hometown being scarce, Latoya found her own way into the spotlight by competing on the local pageant circuit. She would compete at Miss Oklahoma and go on to win top talent.
