Kaiya Hamilton, a Greenville, NC native, is a young singer-songwriter, who’s attraction to music will leave an indelible mark on the ears of music lovers, and fans, alike. Her attraction to music started in church.
Her musical sound can be described as soulful. This soulful sound caught the attention of the late playwright, David Payton. She would land roles in several of his plays. This opportunity put her on the road to Atlanta, Ga. Kaiya was determined to make the best of this opportunity.
Once, in Atlanta, Kaiya plunged herself into all things music. She took part in artist development to hone her live performance skills. Kaiya’s confidence became rock solid. Opportunity, through perseverance, would have her open for acts such as, Guy; After 7; El DeBarge; and Dru Hill. Kaiya’s momentum carried her into the television realm, landing her on VH1’s “Signed”, where she would learn valuable lessons about herself and artistry from judges, Rick Ross; Lenny S.; and The Dream.
Currently, Kaiya is writing original music. She enjoys being made a part of other songwriters and producers projects. Her life experiences are fueling the passion behind her own endeavors. Kaiya, now sings with corporate bands; putting to use, her love, and passion for music, and seeing people enjoying themselves. She can be summed up as humble, determined, and driven. Longevity is the goal says Kaiya. Kaiya Feels hard work and putting out good music are the key ingredient for her success.
