Book Summary;
The story is set in a bar on the rougher side of the Chicago stockyards. The bar is something of a focal point for the city’s illicit trade in hooch and narcotics. This is where a man who is known as Old Bugs works as a kitchen hand, and rants to customers about the terrors of abusing drugs and alcohol.
