I try to explain the James-Lange theory of emotion. In so doing have we proven the theory, and understand what and where we can source trauma? In Junger's book Tribe. He explains how soldiers having only heard of combat: were identified as PTSD at higher rates than combat soldiers.

It is not the experience, but how we process and proceed after the event. How we choose to react to a situation. Is it a conscious choice for those present in the moment?
